Islam loves Monogamy, only favours Polygyny, against Polygamy

Salam..

Lets take a look the real meaning of POLYGAMY & POLYGYNY:

POLYGAMY = marriage that unites A PERSON with two or more SPOUSES.

POLYGYNY = marriage that unites ONE MAN with two or more WOMEN.

(1) Can u see differences??

A PERSON = refer to general person that can be man and/or woman.

SPOUSES = refer to general too, man with women / woman with men/ man with men/ & woman with women.

**so, POLYGAMY = encourages man & woman to have more spouses.**


ONE MAN = specifically refers to only man/male.

WOMEN = specifically refers to only women/females.

**so, POLYGYNY = only encourages man to has more women.**

(2) Why Islam not allowed polygamy??

POLYGAMY = allowed man & woman to have more spouses.

So, thats wrong when u said that Islam allowed polygamy because when u said like that, it seem that Islam

allowed both Muslim male & Muslim female to have more wives & husbands.

(3) So, Islam favours polygyny??

YES, but only FAVOURS.. not encouraged. FAVOURS only to certain extents which the husband should

be fair and just to all his wives in all aspects.

ALLOWS + ENCOURAGES + LIKES + LOVES -------->>> MONOGAMY
